Nike was founded aside Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight on January 1964 as Gentle Ribbon Sports. Its key out was changed to Nike Inc. on Whitethorn 30, 1971. The same year the company adopted the Swoosh logotype as its official logotype. The logo was created by a student from the same university where Phil Knight taught. The name of the student was Carolyn Davidson and the university name was Portland United States Department of State University. The design of the logo was successful by keeping in mind that it should represent movement.
The current famous logo of Nike is not the aforesaid as the one which was originally organized in 1971. Since 1971, it has undergone some minor changes. For example, earlier the logo used to be attended with NIKE written alongside the swish sign, whereas today the logo which is famous has only the Swoosh sign. Also at that place has been a change in the coloring scheme of the logotype, earlier the logo was in use in the colour palette of orange and white but recently the solid black logo has been adopted and accepted popularity.
